A couple is speaking out against a bridal shop after they were charged extra for undergarments that matched the bride’s skin tone. In a viral video, the bride’s fiancé can be seen expressing his outrage at the shop, saying “So you’re telling me that it’s free to be white, but if my bride has a different skin tone than white, she has to pay extra money to get the undergarment to match her skin tone?”
The bride explained that she didn’t initially speak up about the extra charge, but later told her fiancé about it. He was shocked and upset by the experience, saying “I was extremely shocked and upset that something like this could even take place.”
The couple chose not to name the bridal shop, with the bride’s fiancé saying “what we’re not gonna do is drag people’s names through the mud.” Despite the negative experience, the couple received an outpouring of support from others who have also had issues with the wedding industry.
