Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Non-Profit Organization Faces Trouble with California Attorney General According to information obtained from Perez Hilton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are facing issues with their non-profit organization, Archewell Foundation, and the California Attorney General’s office. The main contention is that the couple failed to file their annual report with the state of California and pay the associated fee, which has led to a cease-and-desist order from Attorney General Rob Bonta.

Despite the record, Harry and Meghan have claimed that their foundation is up-to-date with its reporting and fees, “and they have no intention of halting their charity work.” Harry has stated in an interview with People that the couple plans to continue their charitable efforts… including future travel opportunities focused on mental health awareness and other initiatives.

It is worth noting that the California Attorney General’s office has explicitly stated that the couple should cease all charity work and fundraising until they can get Archewell Foundation back on track with the state. Harry’s comments seem to disregard this warning and the consequences that may arise from ignoring it. The situation highlights the importance of compliance with regulatory requirements… especially for organizations involved in charity work.
